Learning How to Research the Paranormal
The Paranormal Investigation Team of Tulsa occasionally holds workshops for those interested in learning how to research the paranormal. We like to call it a "Ghost Hunting 101". In our workshop you will learn the basics of how to effectively research and document paranormal phenomena.
In previous workshops the P.I.T.T. team shared our combined "field" knowledge and the things we have learned throughout our years of research. From how to start a group to stringent protocol and everything in between, we covered as much as we could to help our workshop attendees learn from our mistakes and gain from our trials.
The workshops generally consist of:
- How to start a group - Learn what it takes to be a paranormal researcher
- Protocol - Proper data collection to eliminate false positives
- Equipment - Demonstration and information on how to use high tech devices
- Photographs - Distinguishing and recognizing false positive photographs
- EVP - Electronic Voice Phenomena, how to capture anomalous voices on tape
- Video Captures - Recognizing what is normal and what is not.
- Applied Physics and Logic to paranormal research
- ...and much more
Through applied techniques that are constantly changing into better protocol and research methods, you can learn how to obtain the cleanest data to help further the field of paranormal research. There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to the unknown but there are things you can do to make your quest for answers more dignified.

Below are pictures and comments from our 1st workshop many years ago.
Many thanks to all who participated in the Ghost Hunting 101 Workshop and the great feedback we received. Below the pictures are testimonials that we have received from a few of the participants.
Teri (PITT Founder) on "How to start a group"

"Teri, A great big thumbs up to you and your group for the very interesting workshop! I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about going...I was worried that I would be bored or something worse, but I learned a lot and I also thought that you guyz were down to earth (not a bunch of flakes!) tee hee! We will definitely go to any advanced workshops you might offer in the future. Thanks to you, we now have the name for our group! It is FODS...Friends of Disembodied Spirits! To anyone reading this out there, if you are REALLY interested in starting a paranormal investigation group, go to the Ghost Hunting 101 workshop whenever PITT offers it again. "End of unsolicited commercial"!"
